The final suspect wanted in a monthslong drug and gun trafficking operation in Georgia has been arrested, federal authorities said Thursday.
Andrew Bravo Jimenez, who is also known as “Droopy,” was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon by FBI agents in Dallas, Texas, according to U.S. Attorney Charlie Peeler.
Jimenez, 25, of Athens, is charged with one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, heroin and crack cocaine, Peeler said.
His charges stem from a joint operation conducted by the Department of Justice, FBI and local police dubbed “Operation Benchwarmers.”
The sting netted nearly $1 million worth of narcotics, more than $84,000 in cash and 43 firearms, including eight assault rifles, AJC.com previously reported.
It featured 300 officers from 23 agencies and was hailed as the largest law enforcement operation in Athens-Clarke County history.
