Police in Brookhaven say three men stole luxury cars worth nearly $400,000 from a dealership in Texas and kept them behind a DeKalb County motel.

Yves Amakon, 31, of Snellville, Lester Price, 30, of Houston, Texas, and Julian Callahan, 24, of Katy, Texas, were each arrested after investigators found the stolen vehicles, Brookhaven police said in a statement Monday.

The investigation began when Atlanta officers were notified to be on the lookout for a stolen Rolls Royce on Friday. A short time later, Brookhaven officers found a Rolls Royce and two Maseratis behind a motel on Buford Highway, the department said.

The officers determined all three cars had been stolen from Texas and began surveillance on them. Eventually, the three men returned to the area and got into the cars, at which point police took them into custody.

Amakon, Price and Callahan each were charged with two counts of theft by receiving stolen property. Callahan was also charged with possession of marijuana.

All three men were taken to the DeKalb jail, where they remain.

The stolen vehicles will be returned to Texas, Brookhaven police said.
