A police report sheds new light on a chaotic brawl outside a popular Atlanta restaurant this weekend, in which four people were arrested and off-duty police officers punched multiple people.

The fight occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday after employees asked a group to leave the Boogalou Restaurant Lounge, which is in the 200 block of Ponce de Leon Avenue, according to the police report obtained by AJC.com.

Several people were involved in the fight, including some off-duty Atlanta officers who were trying to break up the melee.

Officer A. Gibson wrote in the report that he punched two of the people involved in the brawl, and that he was hit more than once.

Surveillance video shows multiple people throwing punches on the street and sidewalk outside the restaurant. At one point, Gibson is seen shoving a woman after the woman pushes the officer while he was arresting a man.

“Our office of professional standards was made aware of this incident and is reviewing the video to determine if the level of force shown in the video was appropriate,” police said in a statement.

Police said four people were arrested following the fight and each face a charge of simple assault: Anthony Bryant, Carlos Donzell Lott Jr., Damian Grace and Katrina Nicole Burch.

No one involved was seriously injured. Two of the officers suffered minor injuries.
