A military source tells media that three service members, two American and one British, were killed when Katushya rockets descended upon a base in Iraq.
There were reportedly 10 to 15 rockets that landed on the Taji Base in Iraq about 1 p.m. EDT Wednesday, according to a tweet from Fox News security correspondent Jennifer Griffin.
The base, located about 17 miles north of Baghdad, houses U.S. troops, the Iraqi Security Media Cell told the Defense Post.
It is unclear which entity is behind this bombing, according to reports.
“ISIS doesn’t have this capability,” a military source told Fox News.
Iraqi bases housing Coalition forces came under rocket fire late on Jan. 4, the 13th such attack in two months, prompting the U.S. military to halt training of the Iraqi Security Forces and joint operations against ISIS.
