The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival announced Tuesday that its festivalgoers will be required to show proof that they've been vaccinated for COVID-19 or tested negative for the virus within 72 hours of attending the event.

The 2021 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will require attendees to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or show a negative test within 72 hours in order to enter the gates, Bonnaroo said in a statement Tuesday.

Bonnaroo officials noted that festivalgoers will need to receive their second shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine by Aug. 19. Anyone who is unable to get vaccinated or misses the 72-hour window can pay $40 to take a rapid test on-site, the Tennessean reported.

Unvaccinated individuals are being urged to wear a mask at all times while on the Farm in Manchester, Tennessee.

“The safety of our patrons and staff is our number one priority,” Bonnaroo officials said.

The festival, which was canceled last year, is scheduled Sept. 2-5. The lineup includes the Foo Fighters, Lizzo, Tame Impala, Run The Jewels, Megan Thee Stallion and many more.

If you were planning on grabbing last-minute tickets to Bonnaroo, you’ll have to try again next year. The festival officially sold out three weeks after revealing this year’s lineup and putting tickets on sale, the Tennessean reported.
