Police today identified the Locust Grove woman who was killed this week when her car collided with a train just inside the Henry County line.

Connie Gauthier, 52, died Friday afternoon after she drove her Mercury Cougar around a crossing arm and into the path of an oncoming Norfolk Southern train, the Georgia State Patrol reported Saturday.

The accident occurred about 1:15 p.m. off Ga. 42 north of Canup Road, which is just north of the Butts County line, according to the State Patrol.

The crash report is not complete at this time.
