A Sandy Springs resident is recovering at a hospital after being shot during an early morning home invasion, police said.

Sandy Springs police Sgt. Matthew McGinnis said “multiple offenders” entered the home in a gated community on Parkside Place around 2 a.m. Monday. A person at the home was shot but was said to be stable.

“Detectives are working to develop the suspects and the motive,” McGinnis said in an email, later adding that they also are following up on leads to determine whether the home invasion is connected to other incidents.

No further details were immediately available.
