Travelers who catch rides from Uber and Lyft after their flights will need to head back to a designated rideshare pickup zone at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport’s domestic terminal starting Monday.

When traffic plummeted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, rideshare pickups were moved to the lower level curbsides.

But now, as crowds return to the airport, Hartsfield-Jackson will once again use an Uber/Lyft Rideshare Pickup Zone near the Terminal North economy lot. That pickup area is about a five-minute walk from the terminal.

This map shows the route to reach the rideshare pickup zone at Hartsfield-Jackson, which is located on the lower level of Terminal North near the economy lot.

There will be no Uber and Lyft pickup areas at Terminal South. Drop-offs by Uber and Lyft drivers will still be at curbside.

To get to the Rideshare Pickup Zone, walk through Terminal North baggage claim, then take an escalator down to the lower level. Exit out to the curbside and follow orange signs into the parking deck, turn left at the sign and follow the path. Request a ride after arriving at the pickup zone.

The airport says the pickup area is an active loading zone with no parking allowed. If a passenger is not there when the ride arrives, the driver will be directed to exit the parking lot and circle around to reenter.
