East Palestine residents cope with impact of toxic train derailment in their town
Life has changed in East Palestine ever since a train operated by Atlanta-based Norfolk Southern carrying hazardous chemicals derailed on the edge of town. Many residents are concerned about the risk of water being contaminated and are using bottled water, a creek in town has been polluted by chemicals, residents are seeking assistance, air is being tested, and efforts to clean up after the derailment disaster continue.
