The shooting erupted about 10 p.m. Monday on State Road 7 near Southwest 37th Street in Miramar, about 25 miles north of Miami, according to reports.
Moments earlier, police said, something sparked an altercation between a white convertible Ford Mustang and another car traveling side-by-side in the southbound lanes.
Police said the still-unidentified driver pulled up alongside the Mustang and opened fire through a window.
The Mustang then careened off the road, knocked down a light pole and damaged a tinting business before coming to rest several blocks away with more than a dozen bullet holes in the driver’s side door, reports said.
