Three people are dead and two men are in jail following separate shootings in DeKalb County this past weekend.

In the first shooting, DeKalb police were called to the 3700 block of Soapstone Road around 8 p.m. Friday and found a woman and man fatally shot. Police believe the shooting was the result of a neighborhood dispute. The names of the victims were not released.

William Geddis, 27, was arrested and charged with malice and felony murder in the double shooting.

On Saturday, police were called to the 3000 block of Woodrow Drive in Stonecrest around 6 p.m. and found Pizzarius Webb, 51, suffering from a gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation revealed that Webb and a relative, 29-year-old Schuyler Jenkins, got into an argument before Jenkins began shooting, police said.

Webb did not survive. Jenkins was arrested and charged with malice murder.

Geddis and Jenkins are being held at DeKalb County Jail.

Also in DeKalb, police were involved in an officer-involved shooting Saturday morning at a gas station. An officer picked up a man, later identified as 33-year-old Christian Smith of Ellenwood, after responding to calls about a suspicious person walking in the median on I-20.

The officer offered to take the man to a gas station. After pulling into the station, officers learned Smith had an active warrant for his arrest. During the attempted arrest, Smith was shot after police said he pulled out a gun. The GBI did not confirm if Smith pulled out a weapon, but officials with the agency said a gun was found lying next to his body.
