Five young people were hurt in two separate Atlanta shootings within a matter of two hours Thursday night.

The first incident took police to the Capitol Vanira Apartments on Hank Aaron Drive shortly after 8 p.m. The complex is just east of the Connector in the Peoplestown neighborhood.

A police spokesperson said the victims were 18, 15, 14 and 12 years old.

The victims, who police said were all boys, were conscious when taken to a hospital. Information about the extent of their injuries was not disclosed.

Just two hours later, around 10 p.m., Atlanta police were called about a 14-year-old shot near the Hamilton E. Holmes MARTA station. The station is on the north edge of the Harland Terrace neighborhood, just south of I-20, north of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and west of Peyton Road.

When officers arrived, they found the teen with a gunshot wound to his right leg, authorities said. He was alert when taken to a hospital.

An update on his condition was not provided Friday morning.

No other details have been released by officials about either shooting.
