Roswell will offer a sneak peek of the soon to open Mimosa Hall and Gardens 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 127 Bulloch Avenue in Roswell. The public is invited to join city staff and community leaders for an open house and celebration at the historic nine-acre estate built in 1841 and purchased by the city in 2017.

The 180-year old Mimosa Hall and Gardens will serve as a rental venue and a public meeting space for special events and programming. At the Sept. 29 event, attendees will have an opportunity to tour Mimosa Hall’s first floor and see how it can be staged for a special events. The evening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a self-tour of the grounds, along with light refreshments. RSVP if you plan to attend to dbush@roswellgov.com.

“After much hard work and dedication, we are excited to be able to invite members of the public into Mimosa Hall and to show our community what an exceptional and unique space it will be for special events and other gatherings,” said Jeff Leatherman, Director of Roswell’s Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department.

Beginning Oct. 1, the public can contact Susie McCoy, Special Events Facilities Coordinator, at 770-594-6154 or smccoy@roswellgov.com about renting Mimosa Hall’s first floor or grounds. Also beginning Oct. 1, the grounds of the estate will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
