All Forsyth County schoolchildren are eligible to receive free meals through the last day of school in May — or until federal funds expire — under a waiver approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the school district announced.

Students attending classes on campus can receive free breakfast and lunch, which come with an entrée, fruit or vegetable and milk.

Parents of students learning virtually can take advantage of curbside service to pick up their children’s breakfast and lunch for the following day at one of 10 schools when classes are in session. For pick-up times, locations and other information: https://bit.ly/2LBV1qV

“Families that qualify for meal benefits should still complete free and reduced-price meal applications to avoid a lapse in meal benefits once the waiver has ended,” the school district said. “Meal applications are not required to receive free meals during the time the waiver is active.”
