Decatur city officials will hold an online Affordable Housing Discussion on Missing Middle Housing Policy from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11.

One of the recommendations from Decatur’s Affordable Housing Task Force is to increase the variety of housing options in traditional, single-family zoning districts by allowing limited low-density duplexes (two dwelling units on a lot/parcel), triplexes (three dwelling units on a lot/parcel) and quadplexes (four dwelling units on a lot/parcel).

Also through Nov. 11, a hotline is available 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays for the public to ask questions, make comments or learn about specific events by calling 470-868-5114.

Then through Nov. 15, the Missing Middle Housing Community Survey on this topic will be available to collect input from the public on these potential zoning changes to Decatur’s neighborhoods to increase the supply of affordable housing.
