History

For nearly 20 years, Youth Spark has worked to end child sex trafficking and abuse in metro Atlanta. The nonprofit reduces child exploitation through evidence-based interventions that focus on keeping children off the street. Youth Spark collaborates with individuals and organizations to protect vulnerable children and helps shape legislation aimed at putting child-abusers in jail.

Did you know

Youth Spark works closely with the Fulton County Juvenile Court system, which has the most at-risk families and youths in the Southeast. Working with law enforcement and social workers, Youth Spark helps more than 5,000 teens ages 12 and older each year.

Its motto

“Our vision is a world in which no child is a product that can be bought, sold or abused, and our mission is to advocate for the youth who are in need of legal and adult protection in abusive and exploitative situations.”

How you can help

The nonprofit seeks volunteers to work directly with youths, help prepare meals and collect research data. Financial donations are also needed. Hours are flexible, but volunteers are asked to attend an orientation session.
