A rainy day doesn’t have to mean boredom. In Sandy Springs, there are still plenty of things to do while remaining shielded from the wetness.
The people of the north Fulton city have spoken, and they’ve chosen the best way to spend a rainy day in the city.
In seventh place was Center Ice Arena. The ice skating rink, which also offers summer camps, didn’t garner any votes.
In sixth place came Battle & Brew. The gamers’ bar featuring trivia and pizza grilled cheese on the menu got 1% of votes.
Tied for fourth place were two very different activities. Young Chefs Academy and Bury the Hatchet each got 2% of the votes. The former features a culinary curriculum for children, teens and families. Meanwhile, at Bury the Hatchet visitors can learn how to throw an ax and make it stick.
Third place went to Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center. The Southeastern establishment features bowling and arcade games and got 5% of the votes.

Second place saw a significant increase in votes for Phoenix and Dragon Bookstore. Serving metro Atlanta for more than 30 years, this spot that doubles as a gift shop received 16% of the votes.
So what’s the best rainy day activity in Sandy Springs?
Overwhelmingly, residents chose the Springs Cinema and Taphouse as the winner.
The movie theater with reclining and heated seats got 74% of the fotes.
