We encourage our readers to support local businesses after the authorities loosen the social distancing rules — along with supporting those businesses that offer delivery or pickup during the outbreak.
When residents are feeling safe to venture out in Roswell as venues reopen, there will be several ways they can choose to spend time outside their homes — even in wet weather.

This week’s Best of Roswell results provide ideas about how you can still go out without being too affected by the rain.
The poll had eight options residents could choose from, including one write-in nominee.
That write-in option, Computer Museum of America, tied for seventh place with SkyZone Trampoline Park to get 3% of votes. Sixth place finisher was WhirlyBall Atlanta, which garnered 6% of votes, followed by War Games Atlanta laser tag in fifth place. The Roswell Town Center spot got 8% of votes. Fourth place went to Georgia Ensemble Theatre, which garnered 11% of votes.
Now for the top three.

Among the voters, 19% of people would enjoy catching a movie and going mini-golfing at Aurora Cineplex/The Fringe miniature golf (Area 51), which finished third. Movie-going proved popular on rainy days in Roswell, as second place went to Studio Movie Grill on nearby Holcomb Bridge Road. Despite the spot having an Alpharetta address, Roswell residents thought it was worth venturing to the neighboring city to catch a film; it received 21% of votes.
So, which activity was chosen as the best one when it rains in Roswell?
That’s having a beer at Variant Brewing Co. The spot on Norcross Street got 27% of the votes.
