Ice cream is a treat any time of year, but it’s especially sweet in summer.

So it was no surprise so many responded to our poll question: Who has the best ice cream in Atlanta?

Churning up in the No. 3 spot, with 9.2% of the votes, was Berens Frozen Custard in Gwinnett. Berens specializes in frozen custard, which it says is creamier and more flavorful than ice cream.

Sprinkle your applause on Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, because that's the No. 2 choice, with 17.9% of the votes. Tyler, the Creator recently created a flavor for Jeni's called Snowflake. The two-toned ice cream mixes the flavors of sweet spearmint and cool peppermint swirls with crunchy white chocolate flakes and a touch of sea salt.

Freezing out the competition, however, was our winner, which received 40.4% of your votes to claim the title.

Butter & Cream puts unique, modern twists on the flavors we grew up with, like Tahitian vanilla.
