Walter Strauss fled Nazi Germany at 13 for a new life in the United States.

He ended up building a retail institution, Walter’s Clothing, in downtown Atlanta.

For generations, men flocked to Walter’s for the latest in sneakers and clothing. His customers included sports figures and celebrities.
