Finding new brunch spots around town is an ongoing quest for many weekend warriors. However, defining which joint is “the best” can spark some contentious conversation.
We all have our preferred spot to inhale avocado toast and eggs with a group of pals, so please take this news with a grain of (pink Himalayan) salt.
A new list from the Daily Meal, a food-focused website, ranked the best brunch spot in every state.
What makes somewhere the best at brunch? The website took a deep dive into reviews. They looked for places that “are eager to venture outside the box into more creative and innovative territory.” They gave extra attention to places that made an effort to include healthy options on the menu, along with gluten-free and vegan-friendly offerings.
“These restaurants pay just as much attention to their brunch menu as their dinner menu (if they’re open for dinner at all), and they serve it in a lively space with just the right amount of celebratory fanfare,” the article states.
In Georgia, Buttermilk Kitchen in Atlanta was crowned the best of brunch.
The site gave a nod to the restaurants chef and owner Suzanne Vizethann’s Southern-inspired fare, with a focus on local ingredients.
The list recommends brunch lovers check out the fried chicken biscuits, short rib hash and lobster omelet. And, of course, some banana pudding for dessert.
The restaurant, at 4225 Roswell Road NE, opened in 2012 in Chastain Park.
The restaurant does not take reservations, so brunchers should arrive early to snag a seat.
