The "Queen of Southern Cuisine" has shown that her talent goes way beyond simmering pots and pans full of tasty fare, but creatively extends into style and fashion. Paula Deen debuted her exclusive clothing collection Paula Deen's Closet on April 11-12 via EVINE Live — a digital commerce company that invites consumers to shop, share and smile (www.evine.com).

"While not widely known, Paula is actually quite the fashionista. In fact, her personal wardrobe is so large that she had to install a moving dry cleaning rack inside her closet," said Penny Burnett, chief merchandising officer of EVINE Live. "With the debut of this new collection, fans will have the opportunity to step inside Paula's closet and experience her savory sense of style for themselves."

Deen has entrepreneurship in her DNA

Paula Deen's Closet is building on the success of Deen's exclusive home, kitchen and pantry collections, already being showcased on EVINE Live. The clothing line will feature a number of sophisticated and colorful pieces like jackets, blouses, slim leg pants, hi-lo tunics, dusters, cardigans and maxi dresses. Reflective of Paula's personal style, the soft, flowy and comfortable designs showcase bright prints, lace details and more. The price range is between $34 and $60.

"If there's one thing I love more than cooking, it's clothing," said Paula Deen."Whether I'm at EVINE Live, on the set of my cooking shows or just stopping by one of my restaurants for an order of Savannah crab cakes, people always seem to be asking,'Paula, where did you get that outfit?' I can't wait to start telling them, 'at EVINE Live, ya'll!'"

Deen is the author of 14 cookbooks selling over 11 million copies. She is a self-made success who learned her culinary secrets from her grandmother. Deen's first business, The Bag Lady, started her career and led to the opening of her first restaurant, The Lady and Sons — which she opened with her two sons, Bobby and Jamie, five years later. In 2014, Deen launched the Paula Deen Network, an interactive digital cooking network that combines cooking, lifestyle and game shows with great recipes, meal-planning tools and more.

Paula Deen's Closet and EVINE Live

Deen's collection will get plenty of viewer exposure on EVINE Live, because EVINE reaches approximately 88 million cable and satellite television homes 24 hours a day — with entertaining content that invites its community of customers to shop in a comprehensive digital shopping experience. EVINE Live airs on DIRECTV Channels 73 and 316, DISH Network channels 134 and 228 and the nation's top cable providers.

EVINE Live has a mixture of pricing. There is the EVINE Live Price, which is everyday base price for an item. Then there is the Preferred Price, which is when an item is highly recommended by the customers or on-air hosts and EVINE offers it at a preferred price with limited time savings off the EVINE Live price. Additionally, they have the Today's Top Value price, which is the price for a featured value of the day that is only valid for 24 hours or while supplies last — with savings of up to 30 percent or more off the EVINE Live price.

The "Dancing with the Stars" contestant has her own robust social media following. Deen is reported as having 4.5 million Facebook likes, 1.43 million Twitter followers and 273,300 Pinterest followers.
