Regal Cinemas announced its plans to reopen locations across the country, including in metro Atlanta.

The movie theater chain will reopen to the public, after temporarily closing amid the coronavirus outbreak, on July 10.

The company has 19 Georgia locations, including several in metro Atlanta. When they reopen the doors, there will be some new safety measures in place.

According to the company, the new safety precautions include:

  • Employees will undergo daily temperature checks
  • Guests should enter the theater as soon as possible from the lobby and leave in a timely fashion
  • There will be sanitizer stations throughout the locations
  • There will be no vending machines or water fountains available for use
  • The concession stands will follow social distancing guidelines
  • Menus will be limited
  • There will be no refills on large drinks or popcorn
  • There will be empty seats between groups in the theater to maintain adequate distancing measures
