A video posted to YouTube shows a rescued dog that had suffered from severe abuse. According to the Independent, the puppy is named Priscilla and she was brought to a shelter in Breasta-Craoiva, Romania.

As a woman tries to give the scared dog affection for the first time, the dog cowers in the corner, yelping and letting out distressed screams, showing the results of the terrible life she endured. But as the woman continues to gently stroke and pet Priscilla, she starts to calm down.

The end of the video cuts to Priscilla's happy life now, enjoying the outdoors, playing with other dogs and being capable of accepting love from humans.

The video has been viewed more than 3 million times.
