A nationwide burger chain will kick off summer by giving out free shakes.

Since the beginning of summer lines up with National Vanilla Milkshake Day, Wayback Burgers will give out free 12-ounce vanilla milkshakes. The giveaway is one per customer and no purchase is necessary.

The Conneticut-based chain has seven locations in Georgia, with one location in metro Atlanta at 3515 Chamblee Tucker Road, as well as one in Lawrenceville and Braselton.

“We are ready for summer here at Wayback Burgers and Free Shake Day is a beloved tradition,” Wayback Burgers president Patrick Conlin said in a statement. “We want to inspire moments of nostalgia while making new memories over the classic American meal - burgers, fries and milkshakes. We invite everyone to join the fun and indulge in a free vanilla milkshake.”

The offer is only available in-person, not through delivery apps.

The chain said they hope to give away at least 35,000 shakes on June 20, which would mean using 3,5000 gallons of vanilla ice cream and averaging 275 milkshakes given away at each location.
