As people spend more time at home these days, there seems to have been an uptick in amateur bird watchers looking out their windows.

And for any bird watcher, the hummingbird can be particularly memorizing, perhaps because of the sheer determination of their fast-fluttering wings. That fascination is the basis of an upcoming online event being put on by the Atlanta Audubon Society.

The at-home event, “A Year in the Life of Hummingbirds,” will dive into the lives of these “tiny birds with extraordinary abilities lead a fascinating life.”

The Atlanta Audubon Director of Education Melanie Furr will lead the webinar about hummingbirds.

"Everyone loves hummingbirds! These tiny birds with extraordinary abilities lead a fascinating life," the Audubon Society wrote on Facebook.

The virtual lunch and learn is free to attend. Registration information can be found here.
