High design: A 25th floor condo in Midtown

The dining area's artworks are photos of Venice hanging above the rectangular table which is lined with sleek, narrow-back chairs.

"I view maps as artwork and have purchased them from various destinations," he said. "They're almost an outdated art form."

The master bedroom is warmed by a beige Berber carpet and a pale gold bedspread. Low end tables hold metal lamps with rectangular shades and framed photos of families and friends. The lantern-style ceiling fan lends a rustic touch to the ceiling.

Dark dominates the galley kitchen with dark wood and dark appliances that blend with black granite countertops. A large window gives a sweeping view of downtown Atlanta.

Recio's Midtown condo is filled with sleek furniture, a few carefully selected accent pieces and framed maps from lands he has visited, as well as his own photos that show a knack for capturing color and locations.

Recio got to flex his creative muscles in the two-bedroom condo on the 25th floor of the Mayfair Renaissance he bought four years ago.
