There are many horror movies and shows that have been filmed in Georgia.

Georgia has a frightfully good record when it comes to scary TV shows and movies filmed here. THE WALKING DEAD: This highly acclaimed AMC television series about a zombie invasion is filmed in the metro area of Atlanta, including many scenes in the Downtown Atlanta area.

VAMPIRE DIARIES: This hit show about teenage vampires on the CW network is filmed primarily in Covington.

TEEN WOLF: This MTV series, a spinoff of the 1980's hit movie starring Michael J. Fox, is filmed in Atlanta.

ZOMBIELAND: This action-comedy flick about a zombie invasion was filmed almost entirely in Georgia. Towns featured in the movie, starring Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg on a zombie-filled road trip, include Hampton (Atlanta Motor Speedway), Decatur, Hapeville, Morrow, Newnan, Rutledge and Valdosta.

THE SIGNAL: This independent 2007 horror movie is about a killer transmission that invades all modern devices and turns people into homicidal maniacs. The movie was filmed entirely in Atlanta, and as a homage, the town in the movie is called Terminus, which was what the Atlanta area was originally called.

HALLOWEEN II (2009): Rob Zombie's take on the iconic horror movie series was partially filmed in Georgia, including Atlanta, Decatur and Covington.

JASON LIVE: FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI was released in 1986. It was filmed in Covington, Rutledge and the Hard Labor Creek State Park.

SCREAM 2: Parts of the second installment of this hit horror film series starring Neve Campbell were filmed in Atlanta. Locations include Georgia Tech and Agnes Scott College.

CHILD'S PLAY 3: The third installment of this popular 'killer doll' series was released in 1991. One crucial scene was filmed in Atlanta, and that's the snazzy apartment of the Play Pals CEO, who comes to a very creative and gruesome end at the hands of Chucky.

SLEEPAWAY CAMP III: TEENAGE WASTELAND: The third installment of this cult classic horror movie series was filmed in Atlanta and Bremen.

BOXING HELENA: What does this bizarre, minor cult classic starring Julian Sands and Sherilyn Fenn have in common with the award-winning film, "Driving Miss Daisy"? The 5,000 square foot Druid Hills estate owned by Atlanta attorney Ed Garland was featured in both movies.

CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE: This 1980 cult classic about a contagious virus that turn people into cannibals starred John Saxon and was set and filmed in Atlanta.

THE HOUSE ON SKULL MOUNTAIN: This 1974 spooky house flick starring Victor French was set and filmed in Atlanta.
