Black Friday in Atlanta

Three generations of the extended Lane family from Newnan and Carrolton --Heather Dawkins, Marnie Stephens, Kristy Skinner, Savannah Stevens, Laura Rodes, and Javon Lane -- sported matching t-shirts and purses as they shopped at North Point Mall Friday morning.

Members of the Lane family rented a 15 person van and started their shopping at 8 p.m. Thursday as part of a Black Friday tradition they have maintained for 20 years. Only female family members older than 13 years can join in.

About 5:30 a.m. Daniel Villavicencio, 14 (left) takes a break with his father, Carlos. They had been shopping since 4:30 a.m.
