Little Mulberry Park

With four entrances, the park is an easily accessible, expansive place to go for a stimulating hike. Harbins Park

One of the newest parks in the county, Harbins Park opened in 2009 and remains a beautiful, open space ideal for hikers and cyclists. The bike trails cover a wide range of difficulty levels, making Harbins Park one of the best spots in the county for avid cyclists. The size of the park and its longer, curving trails also make it a great experience for hikers who are tired of circular walking trails. Other unique amenities include a dog park and a multipurpose field perfect for football and other sports.

Tribble Mill Park

Lawrenceville's Tribble Mill Park is a family-friendly park with a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Joggers and cyclists will enjoy a lovely view of Ozora Lake as they make their way along the 3.4-mile multipurpose trail. The park offers additional mountain biking and equestrian trails and a cross country course. The lake is perfect for fishing and includes a convenient boat ramp. Runners can take a break and feed the ducks and geese in between laps around the lake, or enjoy a lovely view of the sunset over the lake after a jog. The park also includes the Ozora Meadows, a beautiful open space used for live outdoor entertainment and other events. Cyclists and runners alike can collect their thoughts after a great workout in this tranquil park.

Yellow River Park

Situated between Stone Mountain and Snellville, Yellow River Park is a pleasant escape from the hustle and bustle. The 12-mile Yellow River soft-surface trail is smooth and level throughout, making it a great path for intermediate runners and cyclists. Hikers get a nice view of the river as it ebbs and flows around the park, with small waterfalls adding to a peaceful atmosphere. The park also features a 1-mile paved multipurpose trail. Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center

The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center is a hidden gem for walking, hiking and biking. After checking out the heritage center's historical and environmental exhibits, visitors can make their way along the trail system for a pleasant walk through the trees. The shaded walking paths offer a relaxing experience in the Georgia heat. Toward the center of the park area, the trails lead to the Ivy Creek Greenway, which connects to the Mall of Georgia in Buford. The GEHC trail system is a pet-friendly hiking experience for folks looking to enjoy some time outdoors.
