“Who will be our next Mr. & Ms. Lilburchaun? Dress in your most festive St. Patrick's Day attire, decorate your bike, stroller, or any non motorized vehicle and join the fun as our Leprechaun Stilt Walker and Bagpipe player lead us in a walking parade around Lilburn City Park!” the event description said.

Attendees are invited to meet at the band shell in the park at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14. The free event will begin with a parade and will include live entertainment from Irish dancers, leprechaun magic and children’s activities. While they last, refreshments, and a kids activity from free weekly newsletter and website MacaroniKid will be available.

A contest for the best leprechaun look-alikes — or  Lilburchauns — is also on tap.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Mr. Lilburchaun
  • Ms. Lilburchaun
  • Little Lilburchauns  (two prizes)
  • Best dressed pet
  • Best decorated nonmotorized vehicle

Footage from last year’s parade shows guests took heed and donned their best holiday-themed, most leprechaun-like attire. Some children rode on bikes with star-shaped green balloons tied to them and others wore festive headbands and floral green leis around their necks.
