In the Gwinnett community of Grayson, neighbors have come together through a grassroots effort to support local businesses and health care workers amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Through the campaign, neighbors have purchased white-and-blue yard signs that display the words “Together We Are Grayson.”

They are not only a chance to show support for frontline workers in their community, but also pay it forward.

The 18" x 24" signs are for sale for $25. The proceeds are then used to buy meals from local restaurants for local first responders and health care workers, according to reporting from 11Alive.

Grayson resident Allyson Sivley, who started the campaign, told the TV station that they have raised $7,000 through the sales.

"I keep seeing local businesses shut down- because we as a nation are shut down. I know they can't survive without the support of our Grayson Community," Sivley wrote on the campaign's website. "I'm hoping this campaign will ease their worries, but most importantly put a SMILE on their faces because we are rallying behind them."
