What is it about trains that we just really, REALLY love? Is it that they evoke in us a wish to return to a time we'd like to think was simpler, when the railroads ruled the United States instead of the automobile? Or are we just in awe of the massive machinery that makes them move along their slim, strict, sinuous paths? Whatever the reason, trains hold a special place in our hearts -- even those that we think of as the most workaday and mundane.
