Even though Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q was recently dethroned as Atlanta's favorite place to get barbecue, it's No. 1 in a recent Reviews.org analysis.
To determine the best reviewed restaurant in each state, Reviews.org went through Yelp to find the three restaurants for each states most populous city — in our case, Atlanta.
Then they picked the highest ranking restaurant in each state and the District of Columbia based on the reviews.
Founding Farmers in Washington, DC, had the most reviews overall, with 12,630 reviews and an overall rating of 4, the website states.
The best reviewed restaurant in Georgia was Fox Bros., with 4.5 stars and 3,422 reviews.

Twins Jonathan and Justin Fox grew up in Texas and said they missed that style of barbecue after moving to Atlanta. After a stint as a pop-up in Smith’s Olde Bar, the brotheres opened their own place on DeKalb Avenue.
“I just love it. The food. The atmosphere. The dedicated staff. I recommend the brisket. Duh! And the mac and cheese and the fried pickles and the tots.” — Lisa P., of Atlanta, posted on Yelp.
“Legit some of the best BBQ food I've ever had. No wonder this place is so famous! There's so much on the menu that looks amazing we had a really hard time narrowing it down,” Rebekah W., of Raleigh, North Carolina, wrote.
Not everyone came to Fox Bros. for the barbecue. For Natasha B. of Troy, Michigan, it was all about the banana pudding.
“The food here is delicious!! I was in town visiting this weekend and my friend I was staying with said that Fox Bros. is not only her favorite Bar-B-Q, but also has the best banana pudding she has ever had!
“The second I heard banana pudding I was there — I consider myself somewhat of a banana pudding connoisseur and Fox Bros. did not disappoint,” she wrote in her review.
