Q: My husband and I just love Pappasito's Cantina Mexican Restaurant. We especially love the margaritas. Could you possibly get the recipe they use? — DeAnna Coffield, Desperate in Marietta

A: Pappasito's offers a full line of margaritas, from a house version, which is made with a custom mix, to a margarita that uses a tequila sold for $58 a shot. Pappasito's General Manager Michael Pollack offered the recipe for their most popular margarita, the Texas Cyclone.

We were going to pass along the identity of the mysterious Margarita, for whom the popular drink was named, but we found there were far too many claims made by too may people to be sure. According to who’s doing the telling, the margarita was named after the girlfriend of a bartender in Puebla, Mexico; a showgirl in Rancho La Gloria, Tijuana, Mexico; or a female customer in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico. Finally, Enrique Bastante Gutierrez, a former world cocktail champion, claims he concocted the drink for actress Rita Hayworth, whose real name was Margarita.

Pappasito’s Cantina Texas Cyclone Margarita

Kosher salt

1 1/4 ounces Jose Cuervo 1800 Tequila

1/2 ounce Grand Marnier

Squeeze of fresh lime

Squeeze of fresh orange

4 ounces sweet-and-sour/lemon-lime mix

Frost a 10-ounce glass and salt the rim. Combine tequila, Grand Marnier, lime and orange juices and sweet-and-sour mix. Pour into prepared glass. Serves: 1

Per serving: 245 calories, less than 1 gram protein, 34 grams carbohydrates, trace fiber, no fat, no cholesterol, 117 milligrams sodium.
