Metro Atlanta
Flashback photos: 30 years ago, 1990 in Georgia
The Ga. 400 we know was still in the works in 1990, and roads all over metro Atlanta were getting upgrades. It seemed that road construction was a permanent state of being for Atlantans. Both the Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium and the Omni were still standing, and Lewis Grizzard and James Brown were still with us, too. 1990 was also the year we found out that Atlanta would host the 1996 Summer Olympics. Take a look back at our city and state as it was 30 years ago.
