Atlanta Symphony Orchestra announces new dates for Star Wars concert

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performs 'Georgia on My Mind' to honor frontline workers

When the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra began postponing in-person shows back in March, the entity encouraged people to hold onto their tickets for a future date.

Now, those new dates are starting to be scheduled.

The ASO's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi concert, originally slated for March 13 and 14, has been rescheduled for Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27, according to a Facebook event post.

Amid the pandemic, the ASO has been creative in transitioning its performances to a digital experience. On its "Virtual Stage," the symphony is providing comfort and entertainment to the city — from a safe distance.

Recently, they also released a performance of "Georgia on my Mind" dedicated to front-line workers.

Tickets for the upcoming rescheduled shows are available on the symphony's website.
