On Friday evening, Alpharetta joined the list of metro Atlanta cities that have banned in-person dining amid the coronavirus outbreak.
"As part of its response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Alpharetta has enacted an emergency ordinance that, among other things, temporarily prohibits dine-in service at restaurants, bars, and other food-serving establishments," the city said on Twitter.
The ordinance went into place immediately, but Alpharetta will allow restaurants to continue offering takeout.
