Wingstop wants a piece of the sandwich game, rejecting “boring chicken sandwiches” in favor of one that “will make your mouth water.”

Best known for their wings, the franchise has officially joined the chicken sandwich game alongside other fast food restaurants. Wingstop will offer its new chicken sandwich in the same 12 flavors you’d normally get on the restaurant’s chicken wings.

“The nationwide launch of the Wingstop Chicken Sandwich is an opportunity to bring new guests to the brand by proving our position as The Flavor Experts, and reward our existing fanbase by putting menu innovation on center stage,” Stacy Peterson, Wingstop’s chief revenue and technology officer, said in a press release.

Meanwhile, McDonalds recently announced that it is testing out a new Chicken Big Mac. And while Chick-fil-A continues to serve one of the most popular chicken sandwiches, Wingstop hopes its variety of flavors will give it a leg up on the competition.
