'Top Gun:' 5 Things You Didn't Know

“Top Gun: Maverick” has dominated the box office, bringing the classic Tom Cruise franchise to a whole new generation of movie lovers. For die-hard fans of the flick, the company Sky Combat Ace is offering the ride of a lifetime.

“Here at Sky Combat Ace, you get to hop on board with one of our expert instructors where you’ll be calling the shots and pulling stunts that would make Maverick proud,” the company said in a promotion. “Our highly trained professional pilots will be your guides as you soar above the skyline and get a feel for what these top pilots experience every time they leave the ground.”

By taking a ride in the cockpit of a real jet, “Top Gun” fans can experience the extreme Gs of air-to-air combat or the thrilling rush of flying a fighter on a low-level bombing mission. Going above and beyond, the company will simulate a military mission with realistic Air Force tactics to bring you right into the action.

“After you are done with your aerobatics, you will be retasked by command and control (callsign Darkstar) on a troops-in-contact, dangerous, close mission,” the company said. “Support friendly forces as they order an airstrike on an underground bunker. Featuring realistic Air Force tactics and real-time radio communication, you get to ingress the target area, orchestrate a pop attack, and drop the bombs (simulated) on the bunker.”

If that is not enough, the company also offers something they call the “ultimate fighter pilot experience.” The package is only recommended for “seasoned adrenaline junkies,” however.

Utilizing their best stunt planes, pilots will fly you into a king-of-the-hill aerial dogfighting mission. To get a true grasp of what “Top Gun” pilots can endure, check out the footage from Sky Combat Ace up above.
