Home sales in metro Atlanta are beginning to climb again after being hit hard amid the pandemic. Deciding where and when to buy a home is a big decision that can tie you to a community for decades.

If you’re new to the metro area or just looking for a second opinion, Niche.com ranked the best places to buy a house in the Atlanta area in 2020.

Niche, which ranks all kinds of things including neighborhoods and education, looked at things like “a location’s housing market, including home values, taxes, crime rates, and quality of local schools,” according to the website.

When crunching the numbers, Niche used data from the U.S. Census Bureau, as well as internal reviews of things like schools.

“The goal of our Best Places to Live Rankings is to provide accurate, comparable, and thorough evaluations of places,” according to the website. “To do so, we’ve collected and analyzed dozens of rankings factors from federal and local government datasets.”

When it comes to the best places to live in the “Atlanta area,” the website used a pretty wide radius, from Ball Ground to Bremen.
