Jamie Foxx, hospitalized in an unspecified Atlanta hospital for three weeks, posted for the first time on social media Wednesday with a short note saying, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

The note on Instagram to his 16.2 million followers was not accompanied by any video or photo and it’s unclear who actually typed the message. After an hour, it had received nearly 200,000 likes.

The last time the family provided any information about his medical situation was on April 13 when Foxx’s daughter Corinne posted that her father had “a medical complication yesterday. Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Nobody has officially confirmed what is wrong with Foxx and none of his friends have publicly said they have seen him in person at the hospital.

Foxx was in Atlanta shooting the final production days for the upcoming film “Back in Action” for Netflix, also starring Cameron Diaz. After he was hospitalized, producers used stand-ins and changed some scenes around to finish the movie, which first spent three months in London before coming to Atlanta for a month.

The multi-faceted 55-year-old actor and comic was supposed to host season six of Fox’s “Beat Shazam” after “Back in Action” was completed. Instead, Nick Cannon will take his place on the game show. Kelly Osbourne will take over for Foxx’s daughter Corinne as DJ.
