The Byers house — fictional home to Will, Joyce and Jonathan Byers in Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things” — did not stay on the market for long. Located in Fayetteville, Georgia, the humble home turned iconic Netflix set has been bought by a “mega-fan” and is now set to be transformed into a “Stranger Things” themed Airbnb. That is the latest report from realtor.com.

According to the realty news website, a “mega-fan of the show has already ponied up double the asking price and purchased the home.”

The asking price featured on Zillow’s listing of the property was $300,000, and the listing currently states that the home is now under contract.

The Zillow listing noted that the home is in serious need of renovations, making it unclear when the home will be opened for Airbnb services. “Don’t get stuck in the upside down though, this home does need a full rehab,” the listing said.

All the same, the home lasted less than two weeks on the market and has been viewed on Zillow’s website over 200,000 times.

The home comes with three bedrooms, two bathrooms across 1,846 square feet. The property includes 6.17 acres of land and a special place in pop culture, so much so that the home’s original owners had to take some measures to ensure their privacy from onlookers.

“Since the show was aired fans have traveled far and wide, almost daily, just to drive by and get a picture,” the Zillow listing said. “So much so that the owners had to put up a driveway barricade and ‘Private Property’ signs just to keep people from trespassing, so needless to say the house gets a ton of attention.”

With an Airbnb renovation now in the works, the home will likely not lose its luster any time soon.
