Eli Manning puts $3.8M mansion back on the market in Hail Mary pass

It’s already been on and off the market three times now

Eli Manning - What you need to know

Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has placed his Oxford, Mississippi mansion back on the market. For those with $3.8 million to spend, the 7,450 square foot home could be yours.

The two-time Super Bowl winner’s southern megahome comes equipped with five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, according to the realtor.com listing. A pool house featuring a half bath and a one-bedroom guesthouse are also featured on the 1.7 acre lot.

The home was built in 2009 and has been on and off the market three times since Manning — a University of Mississippi alum — first bought it, though the sports icon has never slashed his asking price.

“It was built not to be flashy or ostentatious, just Southern sophisticated,” Listing agent Mark Cleary, of Cannon Cleary McGraw, told realtor.com. “There’s not really been any renovations. This is all original. It was built to be like an antebellum Mississippi mansion, although it does have the technology of a smart house.”

The luxury living space also comes with a spacious wine cellar for those looking to host tastings and the like.

“As far as the buyer, it would be someone who appreciates the quality of construction and has a sophisticated palate,” Cleary said.

“Oxford has seen a major explosion. People are leaving metropolitan markets for smaller towns that have the restaurant culture and the music without the highway traffic and pollution. It’s a great place for raising a family. Most alumni spend their whole life trying to move back here.”

The home comes with a wraparound porch, high ceilings, a screened patio and a number of amenities. At a $3.8 million asking price, the Super Bowl champ’s luxury mansion remains the highest-priced single-family home in the city.

If the home does sell this time, Manning still has as $8.5 million Hamptons property to enjoy.
