Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, stars of “Married to Real Estate,” know how to create beautiful spaces on a budget. The Atlanta-based husband and wife team renovate homes for clients while also showing off their own home projects, which are inspired by family.

Their home, which is located just outside of Atlanta, features elegant furnishings as well as beautifully restored thrift-store finds and bargain antiques. “I would say I got my personal style from my grandmother,” Sherrod told HGTV. “She would take me out on the weekends consignment shopping, and it just stuck.”

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Egypt decided to create a meditation space, utilizing a storage closet in the back of her laundry room by adding a seating area, pillows, plants and wall art.

“I had no place for me, and I got to a point where I said, OK I have got to just think differently about this and create a space in my house where I can go and breathe for a minute. So, I decided to create a meditation closet,” she told Architectural Digest.

In 2021, the couple completely renovated their movie room into a den. They cut three windows into the brick wall to add more natural light.

The couple’s home also features an elegant kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and a marble backsplash.

Their most recent renovation is perhaps the most fun: a sprawling backyard with a stunning brick patio, a renovated deck with new outdoor seating and a pool fit for a king.

“Mike finished the deck on Friday, got us a new outdoor seating set and power washed the back. 🤣🤣🤣 I never had a doubt he’d finish it beautifully. I was just nervous how long it would take. My hubby @djfadelf is a beast!! He came thru!!,” Sherrod wrote on Instagram.
