Forget dieting.

In the second week of the new year, Chick-fil-A is giving you a reason to forgo that New Year’s resolution and treat yourself to their chocolate fudge brownie.

Today through Jan. 23 at participating U.S. restaurants, Chick-fil-A One members can redeem the offer for a free brownie on their accounts by placing a mobile order on the Chick-fil-A App or scanning it in the drive-thru, via curbside delivery or inside the restaurant, if their local one is open for dine-in.

“Whether it’s a smile behind a cow print mask or a surprise treat, we’re always looking for ways to show our guests how much we appreciate them,” Kevin Purcer, senior director of customer digital experience at Chick-fil-A, Inc. said in a press release. “We’re excited to add a little sweetness to our guest’s day.”

The fudge brownie was added to the Atlanta-headquartered eatery in fall 2020. It includes semi-sweet chocolate and fudge chunks.

While the brownie is touted as a new item, Chick-fil-A has served one before.

Foodsided reported the eatery had a brownie that was covered in a thin layer of icing and filled with plenty of walnuts, but according to a response from Chick-fil-A on Facebook, the fudge brownie had been pulled from menus in April 2013.

“We are always reluctant to remove items from our menu, however our research with Chick-fil-A customers indicates that the Fudge Brownie is no longer as attractive to the vast majority of our customers as it once was,” the restaurant responded to a disappointed customer at the time. “Removing this item also allows us room on the menu to introduce new items that we hope our customers will love.”

Luckily, the brownie is back in a new form and you can get one for free for the next two weeks. Only one delectable treat can be redeemed per account.
