For a baseball fan, what could be better than a surprise marriage proposal on opening night?

Well, Los Angeles fans were certainly in for a surprise during the Dodgers opening night game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, when that romantic fan stormed the field to proclaim his undying love.

A video shot by a fan captured the moment when Ricardo Juarez ran onto the field, dropped to one knee and held up an engagement ring. While Juarez was all smiles, stadium security clearly wasn’t felling the love and quickly tackled him.

While the take down happened before Juarez’ girlfriend could respond, he’s since taken to Instagram to share the news: “She said yes!”

In a video shot from a different angle, Diamondbacks outfielder Lourdes Gurriel, Jr. can be seen cheering, then wincing as Juarez is tackled.

While Juarez didn’t suffer any injuries from the tackle, there are safer ways to propose marriage at a baseball game. According to Bridal Guide, you can get your proposal on the video screens at most stadiums for around $2,500.
