After Post Malone’s recent social media posts left fans concerned about his seemingly rapid weight loss, the rapper took to Instagram to let people know everything is fine.

When the formerly cuddly star started posting pics — including a shirtless selfie — in which he was noticeably slimmer, fans wondered if Malone was sick, or, worse, if he’d been using drugs.

But Malone, who’s currently taking a break from his “Sunflower” tour, has now responded. Posing shirtless next to a pair of cowboy boots, he explained that the birth of his daughter last year had inspired him to start living a healthier life.

“Hello everybody, i hope you’re having a great night. i wanted to say that i’m not doing drugs,” Malone explained. “i’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier. i guess dad life kicked in and i decided to kick soda, and start eating better so i can be around for a long time for this little angel.”

Malone doesn’t post much about his personal life on his social media platforms. Malone and his fiancée, Jamie, have kept her identity mostly under wraps for years. In 2020, the two were spotted at an airport, where a fan photo captured the first and perhaps only picture of them together. The rapper did speak to PEOPLE shortly before the birth of his child last year.

“I’m excited for this next chapter in my life, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad,” Malone said. “Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day.”

The Recording Industry Association of America named Malone the most certified artist ever, surpassing Bruno Mars. Malone’s three hits, “Circles,” “Better Now” and “I Fall Apart,” have sold 10 million units in the U.S., reported Forbes.
