Nicki Minaj is Call of Duty’s first self-named female operator

Call of Duty just upped the ante on celebrity participation, further becoming the must have game of the summer.

On Wednesday, the video game announced its collaboration with “Barbie World” rapper Nicki Minaj, marking her move into the video game world as the first self-named female operator in the game’s history.

“Playtime is over; this is not ‘Chill Nicki’; this is ‘Red Ruby Da Sleeze,’ Minaj said in the press release.

“Now in Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone, she’s ready to make all rival Operators pound the alarm, as Nicki Minaj has her own Store Bundle, perfect for those who think they have good form across Battle Royale, DMZ, Multiplayer, and Special Ops. Nicki is known to break barriers in Hip-Hop, and this is no different; come Season 05, she will be Call of Duty’s first-ever self-named female Operator.”

Minaj’s first appearance in the game came earlier this year in a “Call of Duty Squad Up” video that featured Kane Brown, Lil Baby, Pete Davidson and others.

Minaj will have her own storefront in the game with items for sale that include a hot pink rifle. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone 2.0 Season 5 both launch on August 2.
