LeBron James has many accomplishments such as winning four NBA championships, multiple MVP awards, being an 18-time NBA all-star, and holding two Olympic gold medals. He’s also an actor and host of his show “The Shop” on HBO Max. Now he can add being a billionaire to the list, according to Forbes magazine.

Michael Jordan did make the billionaire list in 2014 however, James is the first active NBA player to reach billionaire status. James unfortunately is missing the playoffs for the fourth time in 19 seasons.

To figure up his current worth, Forbes broke down his $1.2 in pretax earnings. On the court, he earned $385 million from playing with the Cavs, Heat, and Lakers. Taking it off the court, he’s raked in $900 million from endorsements and other savvy business outlets. The outlet credited James’ preference for taking equity stakes in partnerships as driving his overall networth.

James takes the saying “speaking things into existence” to a new level. During an interview with GQ magazine in 2014, he said “if I happen to be a billion-dollar athlete, ho. Hip hip hooray! Oh, my God, I’m gonna be excited.”

The star’s billions aren’t all just sitting earning interest, however. He has a soft spot for his hometown and children. With his LeBron James Family Foundation he created the I Promise School, an Akron Public School dedicated to those who have fallen behind and are in danger of falling through the cracks.

Always on the move with new ventures, James recently was a producer for Netflix latest movie Hustle a movie about a basketball scout discovering an extraordinary player abroad who he brings back without his teams’ approval - starring Queen Latifah and Adam Sandler.

James is booked and busy being a family man, pro athlete, philanthropist, actor, producer, host and businessman - it’s no surprise that he’s finally a billionaire.
